  • New capital fuels growth, AI integration, and strategic team enhancement
  • Round strengthens KMX’s balance sheet ahead of next leg of growth

PureTerra Ventures, the global specialist venture firm investing in disruptive water companies, and Archer Private Investments, the innovative private markets investor, have joined Welara in an expanded investment round for KMX Technologies.

KMX Technologies is a leader in Vacuum Membrane Distillation (VMD) technology, working with some of the world’s most innovative companies to maximize water and mineral recovery. KMX is scaling its operational and commercial footprint as demand grows across various end-markets for the company’s proprietary VMD technology.

The latest funding round will accelerate KMX’s expansion into new markets, support AI integration across its platform, and enable strategic additions to its technical and commercial teams.

“The KMX team continues to execute with clarity and discipline,” said Alex Crowell Partner at PureTerra Ventures. “They’ve moved well ahead of schedule from technical validation to real commercial momentum, and we see a significant opportunity ahead. Our follow-on investment underscores our long-term commitment to their success.”

Ted Cleary, Chief Investment Officer at Archer Private Investments, said, “As a co‑founder of KMX and an early champion of its technology, Archer is pleased to expand our commitment in this round. Our strategic leadership and long‑standing support have helped catalyze the broader investor interest reflected in the participation of PureTerra and Welara.”

Zachary Sadow, Chairman and CEO of KMX Technologies, said, “We are thrilled for the additional support and investment from PureTerra and Archer Private Investments. Both have been highly strategic partners, delivering critical operational, commercial, and financial value to KMX”.
