KMX Lands Lithium Pilot Programs in the UK and Chile; momentum growing for the company’s proprietary concentration technology.

As we enter 2022, KMX is building significant momentum with growing macro tailwinds for its core focus: lithium.

KMX was recently named one of four “EV Battery Startups Worth Watching”, by The Electric, an influential EV and battery publication authored by Steve LeVine, one of the leading voices of the electric vehicle revolution.

The other three companies on the watchlist have all recently completed Series A funding rounds ranging from $20 million to $25 million, with leading EV and battery focused backers including Breakthrough Energy VenturesBMW i VenturesAndreessen Horowitz, and Social Capital. KMX is in great company and punching above its weight as the only seed round stage company on the list (our current investment round is live on Netcapital).

Over the last few months, the KMX team has landed two lithium Letters of Intent, including one with Cornish Lithium, which is developing lithium projects of national importance for the UK in Cornwall, England, and another with CleanTech Lithium, a sustainable lithium project developer that plans to go public in London in the near future, which has two high-profile lithium projects in Chile.

We believe our recent successful lab results concentrating lithium to elevated and optimal levels for conversion from lithium chloride (its natural state) to lithium hydroxide (the key ingredient for lithium batteries) has positioned KMX as one of the premium lithium concentrators.

We couldn’t be more excited to be working with two of the world’s leading lithium developers and expect to announce more projects in KMX’s pipeline in the months ahead.

In the meantime, the team is preparing for upcoming pilot work with Cornish Lithium and CleanTech Lithium, where KMX plans to concentrate lithium that has been processed by Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technologies.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead as demand for lithium and our technology builds, as pilot and additional lab work gets underway, and as our commercial team pursues new lithium opportunities. We are also working on some impactful lithium partnerships and industrial water treatment opportunities.

We plan to update you as these exciting milestones are met and as KMX continues to expand its position as one of the leading lithium concentrators!
